Maritime MuseumMaritime Museum
Arklow's Maritime Museum is well worth a visit and depicts the strong seafaring history and tradition of the town. CyclingThe Sunny Southeast Corner Cycling Tour

A cycle in the sunny southeast corner can be a gentle journey all the way. Miles of silver sand lie close to the route, which never climbs above 90m. The southern part is flat, with dykes and polders, one of them a famous wildfowl reserve and haunt of thousands of wild geese in winter. Wicklow, Arklow and Wexford are seaports founded by the Vikings. At river crossings there are historic market towns like New Ross and Enniscorthy. On the south coast, on a lovely stretch of water, there is Lady's Island. Hook Head is the most southerly point on the route, a tough cycle but very beautiful. The lighthouse there is one of the oldest in the world, with a tower built about 1200 AD.
